Set includes ¾" self-drilling #8 screws and 1.5" metal self-locking insulation washers. The locking washers are specially designed to secure insulation material in place and create a tight seal. This combination of screws & washers is used for installing BlueTex™ directly on both metal and wood frames.
On average an install will typically require 14 - 20 screws per 100 sq ft of insulation. The 100-pack has 100 of EACH of the screws and washers (200 pieces total). The 500-pack has 500 of EACH of the screws and washers (1,000 pieces total). See the chart for recommended quantities.
The standard color for these is a shiny silver that blends in directly with the aluminum side of the BlueTex™. If you're using the white side of the BlueTex™ for your interior layer, you can pre-paint these with some white spray paint so they blend in (see photo) or if you plan to cover them with the white vapor barrier seam tape, they'll be hidden and there's no need to paint them.
