Description

BlueTex™ 48" long custom aluminum term bars are used in our Roof Insulation Repair System application. The bars are L shaped and come with notches to recess your screws into before attaching.

With a purchase of the term bars, we also include 1" long #10 self-drilling 5/16th hex head screws to attach the bars to the building frame. You will use 3 screws per bar and the screws are notched to keep them from "walking" when you screw them through.

Term bars are sold in packs of 75 bars (includes 240 screws) and 25 bars (includes 85 screws) and both sizes qualify for free shipping. Estimate to use about 75 term bars per 700 sq ft roll of 2mm Pro 50" wide.

Uses

BlueTex™ term bars fit perfectly into the corners of metal purlins for a clean, flat seam. The bars create tension on the BlueTex™ so you have a smooth, flat finish across the inside of the purlins, as shown on the Insulation Repair System Install page.

The bars also include no-slip notches on the bottom and a screw notch down the middle to keep the screws centered when starting.

Storage

Store the BlueTex™ term bars in a dry, clean environment until you are ready to use them. Keep the screws in the bag they come in to keep them from being misplaced or damaged.

Specs

Size: Each term bar is 48" (4') long and 1" wide, with the top part of the "L" rising to ¾ height of 4".

Color: Aluminum, can be painted any color.

Backing: Each term bar comes with a non-slip base and a center notch to easy fastening into the purlins.
